Capture harmful pollutants with SkyMine
Introducing a more efficient, less expensive way to capture harmful pollutants. The SkyMine ® process is a patented technology that can be implemented for new industrial manufacturing plants, refineries, power plants, and steel mills, or can be retrofitted to current stationary emitting sources.
The premise of the SkyMine® technology is to remove carbon dioxide (CO2), acid gases such as sulfur oxides (SOx) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), and other heavy metals from industrial waste streams. Carbonfree Chemicals captures these harmful pollutants from flue gases and transform them into marketable products, such as sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and bleach.
The first SkyMine® facility began operations March 2015 in San Antonio, Texas at Capitol Aggregates cement plant. The plant equipped with SkyMine® technology will reduce its carbon emissions by 15 percent – 83,000 tons of CO2 annually. Carbonfree Chemicals constructed, installed, and maintains the SkyMine® equipment and systems at Capitol Aggregates.
