At Carbonfree Chemicals, our patented carbon capture conversion technology removes the CO2 from industrial waste streams and produces profitable by-products saleable to many different industries, such as sodium bi-carbonate (baking soda), hydrochloric acid (HCl) and bleach. This is currently being put into practice in the very first plant of its kind located in San Antonio, TX. As part of a team, the Chemical Plant Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a chemical production plant. You will oversee the entire production process to ensure SAFE, efficient and quality operations for a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation. TRAINING PROVIDED.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate and control equipment and systems to ensure that all are functioning and maintain maximum efficiency while working in a SAFE and efficient manner in all tasks
  • Perform required analytical (quality) tests to ensure proper operation of processes, make necessary adjustments, and record test results and other data germane to the plant’s operation.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance, perform basic maintenance related tasks, and initiate work requests
  • Notify Supervision of equipment malfunctions.

 

Requirements

Must have a High School diploma or completed GED, the ability to work a 12-hr rotating shift and work overtime, in addition to having strong mechanical skills are required. Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills (the ability to read, write and speak English) and being PHYSICALLY FIT are a must: the ability to climb stairs, lift 40 pounds, bend and stoop. Proficiency in math, reading comprehension, mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and basic PC skills are highly preferred. Previous industrial manufacturing experience including bulk truck and railcar loading or experience in the chlor-alkali industry would be a plus.

OIL & GAS EXPERIENCE – working with pumps/tanks/mixing/sampling – is relevant experience for this job.
